earthBeginning the weekend of September 19 and 20, Emmaus-Emaús, Atonement-Our Savior’s and St. Andrew Lutheran Churches will celebrate the Season of Creation.

The Season of Creation is a relatively new liturgical season that has been added as an option with the other seasons of the church year. Advent, Epiphany, Lent, and Easter celebrate the life of Jesus; Pentecost celebrates the Christian life in the Spirit. The Season of Creation affords an opportunity also to celebrate God the Creator and to reflect on our human responsibility to serve and protect creation.

The worship themes for the four weeks will include Air, Earth, Humanity, Mountains and Animals, with special scriptures, prayers and hymns for each worship theme. FaithWorks pastors will rotate from one congregation to the next as the weekly preachers.
