Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 2417 Drexel Avenue, will host the FaithWorks midweek Lenten service this Wednesday, February 27. Yes, Redeemer will go ahead with this event!
Meal will be served downstairs in Fellowship Hall at 6:00 p.m.
Ten minutes before the service begins (6:50), Redeemer invites everyone to assemble in the sanctuary to watch a brief slideshow presentation of aspects of LCR ministries.
The service begins at 7:00 p.m.; we’ve adapted the Holden Evening Prayer by Marty Haugen to include some Spanish for Spanish speakers. Pastor Elias Nasari will invite all the kids to come forward for him to tell them about Tanzania. This will be followed by his discussion of how his ministry led him to Wisconsin and his experiences as a Tanzanian missionary here. (We are hoping that Rev. Jhon Freddy Correa will be available to translate.)
A free will offering will be taken. If you use your own offering envelopes, the offering will get back to your home congregation.
The worship service is expected to take one hour. An elevator is available near the parking lot entrance, and there is space off the center aisle in the sanctuary to accommodate wheelchairs.
